- Winter Land Storage is for the period of November 1 to April 30. Storage beyond April 30th will be billed separately at the rate of $10/per day unless prior agreement made.
- Parking in the Fall and Spring is limited due to Land Storage. Please be considerate of where you park, boats are being moved for either storage or launching. Please avoid blocking other vehicles.
- Selby Bay Marina will not be held responsible for theft, fire, vandalism, acts of God or any other means beyond our control. Insurance must be maintained on vessels at all times.
- Winterization, Winter Land Storage and Shrink Wrapping are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Marina is not responsible for any freeze damage to vessels due to late winterization request.
- If you have a preferred launch date please note the date on the contract.
PROHIBITED
- Boats are only pressure washed by marina personnel only.
- Moving jack stands or blocks, attaching anything to blocking materials or stands while boat is in Land Storage is dangerous and may result in damage to your boat and neighboring boats.
- Disposal of Shrink Wrap in a Marina trash dumpster.
- Using anything other than non-toxic marine anti-freeze.
- No oils, gas, holding tanks, paints, thinners, or anti-freeze may be poured or drained on grounds, in water, in bathrooms or in sewer storm drains. If found violating this regulation, you will be responsible for all fines, legal fees and clean up cost.
- Trash or debris being left around boats or in the yard.
- All sanding and painting without vacuum dustless sanders and ground protection is prohibited (see #5 under Permitted).
- Sand blasting or spray painting, unless authorized.
- Unauthorized use of any electricity.
- Use of heaters of any kind, while boat is in Land Storage. Heaters cause fires and endanger all vessels stored on-land.
PERMITTED
- Canvas and blue covers are permitted on land; however, we do not recommend them. High winds can lift boats off the blocking jack stands. If these or any other type of covers are used and cause damage to your vessel or nearby vessels, it will be your and your insurance company’s responsibility. The Marina recommends using Shrink Wrap covering. Shrink Wrap blocks out wind and winter elements and provides better protection for the boat.
- Owners may work on their boats while in Land Storage. Please contact the Marina when you are working so we are aware in case of emergency.
- No outside tradesmen are permitted to work on boats stored at the Marina without prior permission of the SBM. If allowed they must contact the Marina to obtain and complete the required documents before performing work on any vessel. If the Owner or Tradesman does not follow this procedure, no work will be performed. This is a state rule.
- All sanding/painting MUST be performed with vacuum dustless sanders and ground protection to catch all the particles and chemicals that are used. They may not be disposed of on grounds or in water. Vacuum dustless sander rental will be available in the Spring at a cost $40.00 per day. Contact Scott or Moses for sander rental and disposal of sanding/painting materials. If paint is evident under your boat, a clean-up bill will be charged.
